What is a guitar tuner?
A guitar tuner listens to the sound of your strings and tells you whether each note is sharp, flat, or perfectly in tune. Our free online guitar tuner uses your device's microphone and real-time pitch detection to give you precise, instant feedback.
No app downloads, no cables, no clip-on hardware required. Just open your browser, grant microphone access, and start tuning. Works on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, ukulele, or any pitched instrument.
How to tune your guitar
Enable your microphone
Click the microphone button and allow browser access. The tuner needs audio input to detect pitch.
Play a string
Pluck one string at a time. The tuner will display the detected note, how many cents sharp or flat you are, and which string is closest.
Adjust until centered
Turn your tuning peg until the cents indicator is centered and the display glows green. Repeat for each string.
Why use our guitar tuner
